Do I own the website on the Own It plan?
Once the agreed build fee is paid in full, you own the finished website content and site files created specifically for the project — excluding third-party software, licences, fonts, stock assets and services that keep their own terms.
When is the site handed over?
The website is not treated as fully handed over until the agreed build fee has been paid in full.
What is Website Care?
Website Care is how the site stays alive after launch — £20/month. Hosting, security, small updates, and new photos and video added here and there. Care starts when the site goes live. On Own It it’s £20/month alongside the build. On Managed, the first 12 months include Care — then it continues at £20/month.
Does every website include Care?
That’s the idea. Own It websites go out with Care at £20/month so the site doesn’t sit there getting outdated. Managed includes Care for the first 12 months, then it continues at £20/month.
Can you add photos and video to the site?
Yes — that’s a core part of Care. New photos and video dropped in here and there, plus small text and pricing updates. If I already shoot the work, it goes straight on the site. Bigger jobs like new pages or a redesign are quoted separately.
What’s not included in Website Care?
Brand-new pages, substantial redesigns, rebrands, new systems or a second website. Care is for keeping the existing site current — not unlimited development. Bigger work is quoted separately.
Is there a minimum term?
Managed is 12 months at £99/month, and that first year includes Website Care. After that, Care continues at £20/month with no further minimum — either of us can cancel with reasonable notice. Own It Care is month-to-month from launch.
What happens after 12 months on Managed?
Managed is £99/month for 12 months and includes the website build plus Website Care. After those 12 months, Managed ends and Website Care continues at £20/month — hosting, small updates, and photos and video added to the site.
What happens if I cancel after the 12 months?
Website Care would end if you cancel it. Hosting and updates stop; your domain is not withheld. If you want to keep the site independently, we can discuss a handover.
What if I stop Website Care?
If a Website Care payment is missed or remains unpaid, I may pause maintenance and, after reasonable notice, suspend hosting I provide. If Care ends, you can move to other hosting — reasonable handover or migration work may be quoted separately.
Is hosting included?
Yes, on Website Care — and Care is included in Managed for the first 12 months, then £20/month. Own It without Care would mean hosting the finished site yourself.
Can you update my site?
That’s what Care is for. Small text, pricing, hours, new photos and video here and there. Not a full redesign every month — those are quoted separately.
What do I need to provide?
You provide the text, images, logos, access details and approvals reasonably needed to finish the project. Extra pages, major new functionality, rebranding or work outside the agreed scope is quoted separately.
Do I need to already own a domain?
You should own or keep control of your business domain. If I manage a domain for you, we’ll record ownership and transfer separately. Domain cost isn’t included unless we specifically agree it.
Can you use photos or video you’ve already created for my business?
Absolutely — and with Care they keep going on the site as new work comes in. Same person, same look.
Can you redesign an existing website?
Yes. Rebuild and own it with Care at £20/month, or Managed at £99 for 12 months (Care included) then £20/month.
Do you guarantee search rankings or more enquiries?
I provide the work with reasonable care and skill. I don’t guarantee uninterrupted uptime, specific search rankings, sales, leads or other commercial results. Nothing here excludes liability that can’t legally be excluded.
How long does a website normally take?
It depends on how clear the brief is and how quickly content comes back. Most small business sites move from kick-off to launch in a few weeks once we’re aligned — I’ll give you a realistic timeline for your project.
