Website Build & Care

1. Website build

I design and build the agreed website for the build price on your quote. The final scope, pages, content and functionality are what we agree before or during the build.

You provide the text, images, logos, access details and approvals reasonably needed to finish the project.

Extra pages, major new functionality, rebranding or work outside the agreed scope is quoted separately.

2. Payment & ownership

The build fee is payable on the schedule agreed for the project. The website is not treated as fully handed over until the agreed build fee has been paid in full.

Once the agreed build fee is paid in full, you own the finished website content and site files created specifically for the project — excluding third-party software, licences, fonts, stock assets and services that keep their own terms.

You should own or keep control of your business domain. If I manage a domain for you, we’ll record ownership and transfer separately. Domain cost isn’t included unless we specifically agree it.

3. Website Care — £20/month

Care starts when the site goes live. On Own It it’s £20/month alongside the build. On Managed, the first 12 months include Care — then it continues at £20/month.

A website that never gets updated is dead within a year. Care means new work goes on the site, prices and copy stay right, and nothing quietly breaks.

• Hosting, SSL and day-to-day technical management
• Security set-up and basic uptime monitoring
• Small text, pricing, hours and offer updates when you need them
• New photos added to the site as you get them
• Videos dropped in here and there — new work, clips, reels
• Minor fixes so the existing site keeps running properly
• Kept search-ready as the business changes
• One person to message — I already shoot the content, so it goes straight on

Website Care does not include brand-new pages, substantial redesigns, rebrands, new systems or a second website. Those can be quoted separately.

4. Managed — £99/month for 12 months

Managed is £99/month for 12 months and includes the website build plus Website Care. After those 12 months, Managed ends and Website Care continues at £20/month — hosting, small updates, and photos and video added to the site.

5. Fair use

The £20 monthly fee covers hosting, keeping the existing site running, small updates, and adding photos and video here and there — not unlimited development. I may quote separately where a request is substantial, unusually frequent, outside the existing website scope, or would reasonably need significant design or development time.

6. Cancellation & missed payments

Either of us can cancel Website Care with reasonable notice. Your domain will not be withheld because of cancellation.

If a Website Care payment is missed or remains unpaid, I may pause maintenance and, after reasonable notice, suspend hosting I provide. If Care ends, you can move to other hosting — reasonable handover or migration work may be quoted separately.

7. Third-party services

Sites can rely on third-party hosting, domains, email, analytics, fonts or APIs. I’m not responsible for outages or changes caused solely by those providers, but on Care I’ll take reasonable steps within that scope to help.

8. Your responsibilities

You’re responsible for making sure material you supply is lawful and that you have permission to use it — and for the accuracy of business information, pricing, claims and policies.

9. Liability

I provide the work with reasonable care and skill. I don’t guarantee uninterrupted uptime, specific search rankings, sales, leads or other commercial results. Nothing here excludes liability that can’t legally be excluded.

10. Paying for Care

Own It Website Care is billed at £20/month. Managed is billed at £99/month for 12 months (Care included), then £20/month. I’ll send payment details with your quote or invoice. You’re responsible for setting up or cancelling that payment.
